Abstract Free and forced vibrations of a three-layered rectangular plate containing a magnetorheological elastomer is considered. The influence of the external stationary magnetic field on the natural frequencies and decrement of the plate is analyzed. The amplitude-frequency characteristic of the external forced vibrations under different levels of the applied magnetic field is studied.
Keywords three-layer plate, magnetorheological elastomer, free and forced vibrations, decrement of vibrations, amplitude-frequency characteristic
