Abstract | Based on Guber-Mizes criterion and solutions of problems for disk with unit thickness, pressing by two opposite forces, and elastic sphere under compression by two rigid plates, the strength of spherical granules are estimated. The ultimate stress, corresponding to failure beginning, is determines taking into account the first considerable reducing of force on compression diagram. The calculated estimates for granules of capsulated fertilizer show that repeating pelleting of seeds allows us to increase its strength essentially (about 30 %). | ||||
