Abstract

The mathematical and mechanical model of the reconstructed middle ear subjected to tympanoplasty by using the "large island" technique is constructed. The restored tympanic membrane (TM) is modeled as the system of two concentrically conjugate annular plates from which the internal plate is monolayer and made from the cartilaginous tissue and the external one consists of two layers - remnants of the ear-drum and transplant. The influence of dimension of the deleted or damaged area of the TM, the transplant thickness on the strain-stress state is studied.
