Abstract |
The features of accuracy ensuring at the production of large case-hardened gear wheels connected with change of their dimensions conditioned with structure transforming into chrome-nickel alloy steel at the technological treatment and service. For the first time the hypothesis about deformation of mentioned steel taking into account unknown earlier structure transformation in near border volumes of metal granules was formulated and confirmed experimentally. The recommendations concerning material selection for large case hardened gear wheels are given. |

Abstract |
The near-limit propagation of spinning detonations in 3.5% C2H2+26.5% O2+70% Ar mixture have been carefully studied in tubes of 25.3 and 50 mm in diameters. Quantitative criteria governing the limits of stable, unstable, and low-velocity detonations have been suggested on the basis of detailed reaction flow measurements in induction zone of decaying detonations. The proposed relationships link ignition time corresponding to stagnation temperature and pressure of the gas behind the leading shock front, shock wave velocity and radius of the tube. |

Abstract |
The structure functional analysis of biological and engineering systems with a glance to biomechanical and cybernetic aspects, and also power energetic and heat-and-mass transfer has been performed. The adaptive materials and designs of artificial analogues of biological tissues such as an adaptive prosthesis of a flap of heart, vibratory system of a middle ear, some joints and implants, jaws systems, etc are considered. |

Abstract |
The paper reviews research in the tribology o polymers carried out from the fifties of the last century to the present time. The concepts of the adhesion and deformation components of the friction force are discussed. The effect of the load, sliding velocity, and temperature on the friction force is described. Specific features of tribological properties of polymers filled with nanofillers such as organic clays and carbon nanomaterials are discussed. |
