Abstract |
The method for modeling of the flame surface in a closed cylindrical bomb is developed assuming preserving the spherical flame front at interactions with confined walls. Calculations are performed for ignition point located at the side and axial wall. |

Abstract |
The problem on the parametric vibrations of a thin, long cylindrical shell lying on an elastic foundation under action of compressive static axial forces and pulsing pressure is considered. Under an assumption that a thickness and physical characteristics of the shell as well as a foundation factor of an elastic basis are functions of a longitudinal coordinate, solutions of the Flugge type equations are constructed in the form of functions decaying far from some parallel on the shell surface. |

Abstract |
Equations of plane-parallel sliding of a rigid body with the ring support under dry friction are derived. For the time of braking of a nonhomogeneous ring, we obtain a two-sided estimate which coincides with the "unimproved" estimate in the limit case of the narrow ring. As an example, the problem of braking of a system of two nearly situated narrow rings is considered. |
