Abstract |
The review of technological aspects and constructions of the machines and equipment for hole repair of the highway asphalt pavement has been developed. In this review the technologies of hole repair by laying the little grainy, flow asphalt mixes and emulsion-mineral mixes has been analysed. The constructive features, merits and demerits of machines and equipment, which realized each of exist technologies has been studied. Determined the perhaps roads of its modernization and directions of improvement. Showed, that the most effective is introduction in its constructions devices, which can modify asphalt mixes and activate the components of emulsion-mineral mixes, lowering energy consumption and enlargement technological possibilities, in particular, by using in distribution of the against ice-crusted ground materials during winter period. |

Abstract |
In the article basic approaches of determination of road train engine power are examined. Statistic data of engine power variation, average speeds and fuel consumption of line haul trains from 1966 to 2007 are presented. On the basis of analysis of modern requirements for line haul trains on highways the determination of engine power in terms of maximum speed of 60 km/h on the grade of 3-4% is proposed. |

Abstract |
The dependences of life expenses on the run (kilometrage) and age for various basic car parts are developed. Getting dependences is based on two typical approaches: 1) the analysis of basic parts features and their operation conditions; 2) use of the substantial regularities presenting link between damaging factors and life expenses of the basic parts in car operation. The second approach is demonstrated for a truck tank. |

Abstract |
One of the main ways of improving consumer properties, particularly fuel efficiency of trucks, is to increase their aerodynamic properties. This work includes results of experimental studies that are based on impact assessment of different aerodynamic devices on fuel consumption of trucks. Qualitative and quantitative research techniques were used. The reserves of improving other consumer properties are also shown. |
