Abstract A mathematical formulation of the balancing adapters lever mechanism in the mobile forage harvester by a vectorial method and the mathematical formulation of a system: hydraulic ram - hydropneumatic accumulator for an accumulator unit with the same and the different gas charging pressure are presented. A design procedure of the balancing adapters characteristic for the mobile forage harvester in the system with a hydropneumatic accumulator application is presented. Influence dependences of various factors on the balancing performance are determined. A structure of balancing characteristic is illustrated on an example of three different adapters, essentially differing by mass and geometrical parameters. Criteria of parameters selection in the balancing system are formulated on the basis of various influence factors analysis.
