Abstract

The paper proposes a model of elastic-plastic nano-penetration of perfect multifaceted indenter into the composite coating. The Winkler foundation generalized to the case of elastic plastic deformation of the multi-component composite coating. The elastic-plastic deformation of the each component material of coating was modeled by bilinear diagram Prandtl. The effective elastic"plastic composite coefficients of the coating based on their average values which were obtained by using the Voigt and Reuss hypotheses. The theoretical curve of nano-penetration of multifaceted indenter in the composite coating of finite thickness qualitatively agrees with experiments.
