Abstract

The article suggests a development concept of a farm tractor traction drive on a short-term and long-term, based on the published works analysis of the traction drive. The necessity of electric traction drive introduction for agricultural tractors recently is discussed in domestic and foreign scientific and technical journals. However, its implementation is constrained by many factors, including the lack of clear theoretical and constructive decisions on its use on tractors. The basic qualities of a tractor are noticed-stepless adjustment of speed and power on drive wheels of a tractor. In addition an electric tractor has other qualities, which greatly increase their effectiveness: reduction in specific fuel consumption, adaptability to modern integrated automated management of a tractor and tractor units, in drives of active workers of agricultural machinery especially during precision farming.
