Abstract

Strength analysis results of two modifications of medium truck semitrailer axle with punchwelded support is described. All calculations are done with the use of final element method. Based on these results performed breakdown reason analysis of semitrailer axle fracture taken place in test rig testing. Stress values corresponding to the specified fatigue life in most loaded points of investigated structure are identified. Design solution satisfying this requirement is found.
