Abstract |
The founder of the national scientific school of reliability of technically complicated items is a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR Igor Tsitovich (Director of the Institute of Reliability and Durability of Machines, predecessor of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering, 1973—1978). During this period the Institute was recognized as the leading scientific organization in the field of machine reliability in the USSR. The next heads of the Institute also paid much attention to work in the field of machine reliability, considering it to be the priority. Under the Institute leadership by a Corresponding Member Berestnev O.V. (1978—2002), the first in the USSR state standard “Reliability in technique. Prognosis of products reliability during design. General requirements: GOST 27.301-83” were developed as well as replacing this standard “Methodological guidelines. Reliability in technique. Calculation of reliability indexes. General provisions: RD 50-639-87”. D. Sc. dissertations on the subject “dynamics and reliability of machines” were prepared by Ostroverkhov N.L., Ksendzov V.N., Algin V.B., Boyko L.I. Under the current leadership (General Director Poddubko S.N.), by the initiative of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the NAS of Belarus in 2015, the National Technical Committee “Dependability in technics” (TC BY33), acting at the Institute, was established by the State Standard Committee. Currently, one of the priorities assigned to the Institute in the field of fundamental and applied research is reliability of machines as technically complicated items. The main results obtained in this field in the direction of calculating the reliability and lifetime expense are presented in the monograph “Calculation of mobile machines: kinematics, dynamics, lifetime” (author: V.B. Algin, D. Sc. in Eng., Minsk, Belaruskaya navuka, 2014), and in the direction of diagnostics and monitoring of the reliability of the technically complex products in operation — in the monograph “Dynamics and Vibration Monitoring of Gears" (author: N.N. Ishin, D. Sc. in Eng., Minsk, Belaruskaya navuka, 2013). These results were included in the state standards (STB 2465-2016 “Dependability in technics. Dependability management of technically complicated items” and STB 2466-2016 “Dependability in technics. Dependability calculation of technically complicated items”) developed jointly by the Institute and the TC BY33. The paper shows the main stages of the development of the National Dependability School as well as the fundamental and applied results obtained that cover the issues of understanding the subject matter of technically complicated items reliability, assessing and ensuring their reliability at the design stage, lifetime expense, and monitoring and reliability diagnostics in operation of technically complicated items. One of the tools for coupling the results of the National Dependability School to the wide practical use is the TC BY33, which currently includes 12 leading domestic enterprises (organizations) in the theory and practice of reliability of technical items. |
