Abstract | Numerical simulation of equal channel angular pressing process was done. Two dimensional and threedimensional statements of the problem were considered. Possibility of usage (for analysis of technological process) in some cases 2D statement instead of 3D statement for the purpose of decrease resource complexity of the problem was demonstrated. It was done on basis of comparison calculation`s results for both cases. Principal attention was spared for kinematics of the process. | ||||

Abstract | A rod-chain model was used to study the dynamics of a tree stem. A numerical method is developed for simulating the mechanical behavior of a flexible tree stem. The motion of the flexible tree stem is determined under the resistance forces exerting on the tree crown. Flexible tree stem interaction with an elastic foundation and a forest machine is investigated as well. The numerical model is applied for calculating the impulse of force on the elastic foundation and the forest machine. | ||||

Abstract | An isotropic medium containing a system of foreign transverse rectilinear inclusions is considered. Such a medium can be interpreted as an infinite plate, reinforced with a regular system of stringers, whose cross sections are very narrow rectangles. Medium is weakened by a periodic system of rectilinear cracks emanating from the contours of the holes. The action of the stringers is replaced by unknown concentrated forces at the points of their connection with the medium. The boundary-value problem on the equilibrium of the periodic system of cracks is reduced to a singular integral equation, from the solution of which the stress intensity factors are found. The condition of limiting equilibrium of cracks is formulated based on the criterion of brittle fracture. | ||||

Abstract | The paper presents the methodical approach to the calculation of dynamic characteristics of spindle unit and multicriteria selection of their most rational parameters. On the example of spindle unit with belt drive of spindle unit with belt drive of the circular grinding machines was held the choice of parameters, using as the criteria values of natural frequencies and mode shape of spindle. Parameters boundary of spindle unit, meeting the requirements of its dynamic qualities throughout the operating frequency range were determined. | ||||
