Abstract

Problems of calculations of the vehicle transmission are considered. The transmission is presented as the kinematic diagram. Its state is established by shifting elements, such as clutches and brakes. Methods of kinematic (angular velocities) and torques calculations of the transmission based on its feature as regular mechanical object are developed. For the transmission description the structurally-distributive matrix is entered, which reflects structural properties and distribution of torques factors on transmission parts. This approach allows automating formation of mathematical models of the transmission irrespective of its components types (simple trains, planetary mechanisms of various types, and their combinations). The developed matrix methods are realized as computer programs for carrying out of the high technology calculations of the transmission in its design stage. The calculation examples explaining features of developed methods are presented.
